Lost Treasures of Infocom App Reviews

Please consider making text adventures accessible for those who particularly need text

I spend hours playing the old infocom games on my desktop computer. I was hoping to bring back some of those memories and take my favorite games with me on the iPhone, so I was very excited to find and infocom app. However, when I opened the game, I could not read anything on the screen using voice over technology. I cant even tell which games are available. Please, please, give blind people back some of their favorite games. The time you will spend, Im sure, will be in well-made up in the gratitude, not to mention the extra money you could gain through extra purchases. I know I would certainly be willing to pay something to get these games back again.

App wont download

Im a bit bummed that this isnt downloading to my phone. Ive tried restarting, deleting, and starting download over, but it still just remains as a pending download for the last three days. I also searched the support site for a solution to this problem and cant find anything. Could someone advise what to do so I can play this and give it a better review?

Wonderful Collection

It is great to see many of the Infocom games available again. Activision did a wonderful job of not only collecting the games themselves, but the maps, manuals, and other supplemental material that made these games special. Like others have mentioned, iCloud support for the saved games would be great -- especially if the original save game file format is restored. A Mac version of this product would be a welcome addition.

100% VoiceOver Inaccessible

Beyond Zork for the PC was messed up in the same way. If there is any text in this collection probably the developers need to learn to do Cocoa-standards-acceptable screen writing and rewrite the entire screen interface section of the app. I could hear music which sounded promising, but no controls that talk when selected appeared on the screen. This is an iPhone 6+ with latest ios version on it too so those are most certainly not limitations. Activision fell out of favor with the blind consumer community with publication of Beyond Zork and similar games and collections and this is why.

Update Please

I hope I live long enough to see this get another update.

Not accessible

This game is not compatible with voiceover and therefore not accessible to the blind.extremely disappointing considering the nature of text adventureGames, and an extremely reputable company such asActivision. I was actually prepared to pay $10 for the full package, but not anymore.

Needs iPad Pro support, better fonts/themes

Almost every Z-machine interpreter has better fonts than this one. Incredibly ugly. And way too large on an iPad Pro.

Great Way to Relive The Classics

Some suggestions... 1. Add 12.9" iPad Pro support so it scales nicer 2. Add the iOS 9 keyboard (or let us pick 3rd party ones) 3. It would be great if we could custom name our saves instead of using just a number... Please look at Frotz for iOS to see how they do it. Much more intuitive. 4. Add iCloud support so we can play seamlessly between devices. 5. Please update with a new collection to include: Bureaucracy Hitchhikers Guide Nord & Bert Beyond Zork Zork Zero Arthur Journey Sherlock Shogun
